Our Mission

God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.

Costa Mesa Churches Establish Collaborative Friendship

NEWS FROM ROCKHARBOR AND HOLY TRINITY CHURCH

Costa Mesa, Calif. - August 10, 2009 - Holy Trinity and ROCKHARBOR Churches in Costa Mesa, CA, have plans to enter a unique relationship this fall. ROCKHARBOR, a Bible-based, multi-generational church community established in 1997, will supply worship space for Holy Trinity's services when the new Anglican congregation launches on September 27, 2009.

The collaboration is built on a long-term relationship between Todd Proctor, pastor of ROCKHARBOR, and Todd Hunter, founding pastor of Holy Trinity Church. Hunter approached Proctor several months ago and outlined his vision for the new church, and Proctor both welcomed him and offered help without hesitation.

"The first months of a church plant are crucial to its success," noted Hunter. "I'm astounded by the generosity and kingdom mentality of the ROCKHARBOR leadership who has chosen to bless our new ministry."

ROCKHARBOR's decision to house Holy Trinity exemplifies its mission commitment of "being transformed by Christ to be a catalyst for changing lives in and beyond Orange County."

"We believe that church planting is the best way to reach our county and our nation for Christ and we're excited to support not only this new church in Costa Mesa, but also many churches that will be planted through Holy Trinity across Southern California," said Proctor.

The two congregations share a passion for serving others and extending the Kingdom of God. Holy Trinity Church exists "for the sake of others-for families, singles, students and retirees."

"Our values and practices are geared toward those who recognize, within themselves, a need for a deep, Christ-centered, spiritual reality," explains Hunter. "Our approach to worship is rooted in traditions of the earliest Christian churches but it's offered in contemporary and fresh ways designed to connect with people's hearts and minds."

Holy Trinity's weekly services will be held Sundays at 9:00 a.m. at ROCKHARBOR's "The Commons," at 3080 Airway Avenue, Costa Mesa.

"I can't wait to tell this story of ROCKHARBOR's generosity - of how this church helped give birth to a new Christian community," said Hunter. "It is such a kingdom story."
