We are excited to welcome you to C4SO’s Diocesan Convention on Sat., Nov. 11, at 11:00 am CST!

Each year, the Convention is a vital part of engaging in communal leadership of our diocese. During this time, we will be celebrating our 2023 growth and progress, sharing our vision for 2024, and hearing from Bishop Todd and Suffragan Bishop Brian Wallace. Clergy and Lay Delegates will vote on important topics that impact our life and growth.

The Convention is open to anyone in C4SO who is interested in the life of the diocese, so we want to extend a warm welcome to all C4SO church members. We would love to have you register for and attend the Convention!

Are you a Lay Delegate appointed by your Rector? He or she has already registered you. You will receive an email from us with the Zoom link and ballot items. 

Are you a participant (not a Lay Delegate or a clergy member)? Register here. 

Information for Lay Delegates

We appreciate your time and commitment to participating in the Convention as a Lay Delegate! Our Canons require us to have Clergy Delegates and Lay Delegates to vote on official items for the diocese. Of the selected delegates, we need 2/3 to be present at the Convention for ballot items to be made official. We’ve asked each C4SO church to select two Lay Delegates (or more depending on the church’s size) to participate in the Convention.

Prior to the Convention, we will email you a Delegate Packet with ballot items for voting. Please review the ballot items and come to the Convention prepared to cast your vote. 

At the Convention, we will be voting in real time via a Zoom poll. We will not have absentee ballots, and we will close voting after the delegates attending the Convention have voted. For your vote to be counted, you will need to be registered for the Convention and logged in to Zoom on your own device, even if you are watching with others at your church.
