CLERGY TRANSFERS
If you are a clergyperson who is curious about transferring your Holy Orders into C4SO, we invite you to consider our basic requirements. Please determine whether or not you meet these requirements before reaching out to us. Thank you!

If you are a clergyperson resident in another diocese in the Anglican Church in North America, you must first speak to your Bishop to obtain his permission to speak to C4SO.
02 |
We require all clergy in C4SO to have an active role in an Anglican church, and almost always an Anglican church within C4SO. An active role would include a specific and designated paid, stipend or volunteer role under the local rector. Very rare exceptions are certain individuals in academia or people serving in an overseas context. Such exceptions are usually people who were previously part of C4SO and experienced a shift in their vocational call.

If you are ordained in another tradition and seeking to transfer into C4SO, we require you to be re-ordained in keeping with the Canons and Constitution of the Anglican Church of North America. All clergy transfers will undergo some ordination preparation, including participation in C4SO’s Anglican Foundation Program (AFP) designed to ensure all clergy are knowledgeable of C4SO’s missional expression of Anglicanism. AFP also ensures that new clergy meet others in the diocese and build relationships beyond their local church context.
