January is C4SO’s annual Sexual Harassment Prevention Month. In a world where the vulnerable continue to be exploited, the Church must take action in safeguarding the physical, emotional and spiritual health of every person in its care. We want to help each of our churches not only avoid issues of sexual harassment but cultivate a work culture that is above reproach.

For 2024, we have updated our training videos with a brand-new look and feel that will greatly improve your user experience. Our very own Bethany Ramse and Dr. Min Soo Choi of Church of the Vine (pictured above) lent us their gifts and talents to create this new one-hour training video—plus an additional hour for trainees in California.

January 31 is the deadline for completing our Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.

Here’s what that means for you:

  • CLERGY: Complete our Sexual Harassment Prevention Training by January 31 (to be repeated annually). You will receive an email invitation to our training platform, BrainCert. Rectors must complete our Compliance Form.
As of January 4, we are ironing out a few issues with BrainCert. We will email all clergy as soon as they are able to login to take the training!
  • CHURCH EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, INTERNS: Complete our Sexual Harassment Prevention Training by January 31 (to be repeated annually). Your church will facilitate the training and document your completion.
  • ALL CHURCHES: Make C4SO’s *newly updated* Whistleblower Policy available to your congregations as a clear way for people who observe or experience sexual harassment or any form of wrongdoing to report it.

Please print and display our NEW Whistleblower Policy for 2024—not a previous versionAlternately, you may publish it on your church’s website.

As you participate in Sexual Harassment Prevention Month, you join with us in our commitment to protecting and serving each other. Thanks to you, C4SO can serve those entrusted to us and lead them in the ways of faith.
