We help ensure that God’s vision for our diverse humanity both informs and drives C4SO’s work. We normalize conversations about race and justice, and train our clergy, providing resources and opportunities for growth and development. We seek to add to C4SO’s clergy of color and equip our congregations to create their own generative spaces for diversity.

To help cultivate kingdom-minded communities of diversity, we have established a Multiethnic Church Development Fund to support the work of C4SO churches committed to this vision. Learn more.

OUR PRIORITIES

Provide care and advocacy for clergy of color.

Train and mentor current and future clergy and congregations for proficiency in kingdom diversity and justice.

Recruit and support the growth of diverse clergy and future leaders.

Promote and normalize conversations that center marginalized racial voices.

Help C4SO leadership discern structural elements that create obstacles for people of color, and propose solutions.

“We commit to courageous dialogues of honesty and transparency, while displaying postures of humility and grace. We want to listen before speaking; we want to create spaces where mistakes can be made without fear of judgment; and where constructive encounters may feed our mutual edification.”
