Episode: The Diaspora Network: Mobilizing Immigrant Leaders and Churches
C4SO’s Diaspora Network seeks to encourage and mobilize immigrant churches and leaders by bringing together immigrant and diaspora communities across North America for resourcing, fellowship and mission.
Today we talk with three guests about the Diaspora Network:
- Dr. Samuel Obi, interim leader in charge of Igbo Anglican Church in San Jose, as well as a Professor at San Jose State University, where he has taught for 33 years.
- Misael Galdamez is a second generation Mexican and Salvadorian American, a member of Church of the Resurrection in Los Angeles, and currently a Research Analyst for the Latino Policy and Politics Institute at UCLA.
- The Rev. Jonathan Kindberg was born in Perú and spent his childhood in Chile, Panamá and Kentucky. He served for 12+ years in the Chicago area leading and helping start Latino Anglican churches before joining C4SO and moving to Austin, Texas in December of 2021. Based at Church of the Cross he is helping start the C4SO Diaspora Network and works part time for World Relief bringing together Austin area churches who are partnering with immigrants and refugees.
