We kick off the new year with a brand-new episode featuring a conversation between the Rev. Teesha Hadra and host Bishop Todd Hunter! Listening to these two talk shop about the ins and outs of a homily is an absolute delight—not to mention multiple practical applications related to the methodology of preaching.
The Rev. Teesha Hadra became the Rector of Church of the Resurrection in Fall 2021. She earned Bachelor’s Degrees and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. Teesha practiced law for nearly seven years before leaving to begin full time ministry in 2013 at a church in Atlanta. Teesha received an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary and served as the Executive Pastor at Rez while she was completing her degree. After graduating from Fuller, Teesha served as a Chaplain at a Level I trauma center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she provided pastoral care to patients and their families of all walks in life in the midst of crisis. Teesha serves with our diocesan initiative on diversity and inclusion, the Revelation 7:9 Task Force. She co-authored Black & White: Disrupting Racism One Friendship at a Time with her friend, John Hambrick. Teesha and her husband, Fred, live in Eagle Rock.
