In a world where the vulnerable continue to be exploited, the Church must take action in safeguarding the physical, emotional and spiritual health of every person in its care. We want to help each of our churches not only avoid issues of sexual harassment but cultivate a work culture that is above reproach.
January is C4SO’s Sexual Harassment Prevention Month.
Here’s what that means for you:
-
- CLERGY: Complete our Sexual Harassment Prevention Training by January 31 (to be repeated annually). This one-hour training was developed specially for C4SO by the Church Law Center of California. You will receive an email invitation to our new training platform, BrainCert. When you are finished taking the training, complete our Compliance Form.
- EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, INTERNS: Complete our Sexual Harassment Prevention Training by January 31 (to be repeated annually). Your church will facilitate the training and document your completion.
- ALL CHURCHES: Make C4SO’s Whistleblower Policy available to your congregations as a clear way for people who observe or experience sexual harassment or any form of wrongdoing to report it.
