The Rev. Tish Harrison Warren, a priest at Church of the Resurrection South Austin and author of Liturgy of the Ordinary and Prayer in the Night, has accepted a job as a Contributing Newsletter Writer for the NYT Weekly, a newsletter exclusively for the subscribers of The New York Times.
Each week, she will reflect on matters of faith in private life and public discourse. Topics will include faith and the arts, faith in public life, justice and politics, religious liberty, the Church, spiritual practices, orthodoxy/orthopraxis, etc.
“I am so grateful for this opportunity and so surprised. It came out of nowhere!” Tish says. “I want to write truthfully and beautifully, and to be able to be faithful in this unexpected opportunity that God has given.”
Tish is asking for God’s grace and help as she begins this new job. “I get to write about Christian faith for The New York Times,” she says. “I’m so grateful but also need God’s mercy in so many ways.”
