October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, with the goal of educating communities, individuals, couples and families about resources that can help prevent domestic abuse and raise awareness of community responsibility and resources for addressing domestic abuse. And it’s not too late to bring awareness to and provide resources for your congregations about this issue. We’ve put together a few resources for you to consider.
First and foremost, if you are a victim of domestic violence, and you would like to talk to someone about this, you can contact the National Domestic Violence Agency at 1-800-799-7233 for assistance and referral to local agencies.
