Are you a pastorally gifted, mission-minded people-person interested in gaining practical ministry experience in a warm and supportive setting? Do you have gifts and passions for ministry that don’t fit neatly into a traditional job description? If so, we’d like to talk to you!
Church of the Redeemer is looking for the person God is calling to join our staff for 20 hours/week in two or more of the following ministry areas:
- Clergy support alongside our Rector (e.g., preaching, teaching, pastoral care, leading sacramental worship);
- Community outreach (e.g., building local connections, pioneering Alpha programs, leading outreach initiatives);
- Developing Spanish language ministry and resources (e.g., translation, bilingual worship);
- Christian formation (e.g., youth ministry support, leading small groups, deepening in prayer)
Since we’re looking to find a person, not fill a role, we’ll shape a job description around the unique gifts and passions of the successful candidate (as we did with our previous Curate, who we recently sent forth to serve as Rector of his own parish). This job would be ideal for someone recently ordained/preparing for ordination, bivocational, or preparing for church planting.
